The company first began by making their major product known as the yubiwa pipe (cigarette holding device). In 1949 they began the production of calculators and in 1954 created Japan’s first electromechanical calculator.
Casio Computer Co. Ltd, was formed in June 1957, continuing their manufacturing of calculators. By the 1980s Casio had not only began their manufacturing and production of wristwatches but can also claim to be one of the earliest manufacturers of both quartz, digital and analogue watches.
From here Casio started to implement new technologies within their timepieces, being one of the first create calculator watches, watches that could display multiple time zones, temperature, atmospheric-pressure, altitude and Global Positioning System Display.
This constant progression allows Casio to leverage superior innovation in their mission to create products which deliver the best of modern and classical designs and innovation.
